Chunan, Taiwan, April 25, 2008 –TPO Displays Corp. has set environment protection as one of the company’s strategic policies since its establishment in 1999. It started its water retrieval system since its pilot run at ChuNan plant in December 2001 and completed the system in April 2002. In addition, TPO has aggressively participated in a variety of environment protection programs held by the government, such as regular water-usage reduction under the guidance of the Industrial Development Bureau (IDB) of the Ministry of Economic Affairs. All these implementations have resulted in a high water reuse rate and –recycling.

With the continuous guidance and supports from the local government,as well as the great efforts contributed by TPO employees, TPO successfully made the following achievements in 2007.

• Saving 5.5 million cubic meter of water
• Saving 66 million NT dollars of water fee.
  

TPO has been awarded as one of the excellent companies in the implementation of Occupational Safety & Health Policy, by Hsin Chu Science Park Administration since 2005 for three consecutive years; and was honorably selected as an outstanding corporation for water-conservation in 2007 by Water Resource Agency of the Ministry of Economic Affairs. To ease global warming problem, TPO will continuously devote to the environmental protection programs to reduce CO2 emissions and fresh water usage on the daily works of all TPO employees.
